In each round, the player makes their bets toward the pot, not into it directly. When a round ends, the bets are gathered into the pot and the player with the best hand wins the pot. However, this does not always happen.<\/p>\n<p>The number of players in a game can vary, but ideally there will be six to eight players. The sum of all bets is called the &#8220;pot&#8221;. The winner of the game will receive the entire pot, or a portion of it. Poker can be played online and on mobile devices. The basic rules of the game apply to both versions.<\/p>\n<p>The winner of a hand in poker is determined by the combination of two distinct pairs of cards and the high card. In a tie, the higher pair wins, and the second pair wins. In a high-card hand, the kicker is the highest-ranking card remaining in the deck. In a four-of-a-kind hand, the kicker would be the fifth card.<\/p>\n<p>After the betting phase, the players reveal their hands.
